Privacy policy
This describes how this website handles your information, under the Privacy Act 2020.
What we collect
Only what you type into the enquiry form: your name, your phone number, your email address and your message.
The server also records the IP address and browser the enquiry came from, which is how spam gets separated from real people.
There is no account to create and no login.
What we do with it
We use it to answer you. That is the whole purpose.
Enquiries are stored on the website server and emailed to the Timaru store so nothing gets lost between the two.
We do not sell your information, and we do not pass it to anyone for marketing.
Tracking
This site runs no analytics, no advertising tags and no tracking pixels.
There is no cookie banner because the site does not set cookies for tracking.
Two parts of this site involve Google, and they work differently.
The map on the Find Us page is a Google map. Your browser loads it from Google when you scroll to it, so Google sees that request, the same as it would if you opened Google Maps yourself.
The reviews are fetched by our own server from the Google Business Profile, then shown to you. Your browser does not contact Google for them and nothing about you is sent to Google to display them.
Seeing it or deleting it
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.
Ring 03 688 4944 or email timaru@buildlink.co.nz.
